  • Nah they charge based on time that way if you make them stop somewhere else along the way they can still run the meter

    • Both right, it's both depending on the situation. If they are waiting there is a fare base per fifteen min usually. Otherwise it's milage, this way you aren't gouged if you hit terrible traffic. Also, number of passengers matters. In my hometown $7 with two people will get you about two miles.
