HIPPA is a great idea in theory, but it rarely works in practice. Sure, doctors won't go broadcasting your medical information to the general public, but do they talk about cases amongst themselves/family/friends? Yes. Do they use names? Usually not. Do they get sued? Usually not.
You are the envey of every girl who got ridiculed by a guy who knew damn well he was out of her league... \nwhen will they learn? Apparently when they end u in the emergency room with um, issues.
i believe the typical names used for patients are based on physical description...such as the sweet little girl with cancer, or the woman so fat we had to send her to houston because we didn't have the necessary equipment to handle her....(wife works in surgery)
Only thing that would have made this better is if you'd snapped on a rubber glove and announced that you'd always imagined putting your *foot* in his ass...
Wow peoples stupidity never ceases to amaze me. I don't see any names or personal information so pretty sure there's no HIPPA violation. And calling it out on TFLN doesn't make you sound smart. More ignorant actually.

Wow good HIPPA violation. If there's any way anyone can ID him she's in violation ( based off the text ) whoever she texted knew who she was talking about.
Actually unless she specifies a name she isn't in violation. Also if her friend is also in a medical profession then she is fine. HIPPA is a nice idea but there are tons of loop holes.
your a hater and just jealous that ga_peach is ignoring you so y don't u grow a pair and get over it I'm sick of seeing your stupid little snide comments that are totally unrelated to the topic
What the hell is your problem? You're just being childish. Nobody gives a rat's @$$ and you're only drawing hate towards yourself. Anyone who may have been remotely sympathetic, for whatever reason that might be, is turning and you're not contributing anything to this site. Stop being a crybaby.
@ ga peach. You cannot tell anyone anything unless they are a direct care provider. Otherwise it's a breach of privacy. At least that's how we treat it better safe than sorry. The establishment I work at takes HIPPA very serious and your fired immediately if found to be in violation and audits are constant.
It is on a case by case basis. Pretty funny when it's ironic that someone who used to insult someone groundlessly on something like this is affected by it. It's just like when something bad happens to anybody who's been a massive jerk. Karma. Also, it doesn't have to be ED, in fact, I'm pretty sure if he's in the clinic for dick problems it's more likely he has one of those 4 hour erections and a lot of people without ED take those pills.
Holding a grudge much yourself? You'd have to be to get that riled up over something like this as clearly you have a preformed opinion. You also have every right to hold a grudge against someone who spread baseless rumors about you (anyone hearing him call her that) and repeatedly call you extremely hurtful names deliberately, especially during a period of emotional growth like HS. Way to rise above dude, really proving that she should have forgiven and forgotten the verbal abuse this guy threw
Way to prove you're a better person. Not to mention it's HIPAA and there's no way she could get in trouble for this amount of information. Overreacting much? Hope you get banned for that kind of inflammatory remark.
