$100 for two people is pretty easy to do if neither is a lightweight. In Philly, which is not nearly as expensive as New York, a standard cocktail is $9-$12, as is a glass of wine. Dive bars and places on college campuses may be cheaper, but not everyone frequents those. Let's not turn this into some sort of socioeconomic battleground.
It depends. We all know at high-end places in a major city, $100 is nothing. Shit, at the Playboy Club in Vegas, I was dropping $8 for a beer, $13 for a vodka-redbull....and that's all I remember. I'm sure Patron was probably $10/shot. But it was Vegas, so whatever!
Crap... Where I go to college We have Big ass Glass night which is a 24 oz glass filled with either beer or well drinks for a buck. Got to love college :).... But then again I go to school out in the middle of nowhere... So all you can do it drink.
$100 isn't a ton for a night at the bar, but if he spent that much on drinks for one girl with whom he thought he'd be going home, it's a lot of money wasted. Of course, he's kind of an idiot for thinking free drinks were a guarantee of sex, but if she kept taking them, she's kind of leading him on. Just my two cents.
You guys are smoking crack if a $100 bar tab isn't steep for 2 people. I spent a little over that on 5 people with a few shots of Patron thrown in the mix at $10 a pop.
3:41 here - my parents don't pay my bills. i'm a little too old for that. $100 is pretty low for any decent bar at least in any upscale town. college - ok, yes that would be high. but if it's college, their parents are probably paying
