This is true 6:50pm. There's Londoner, Yorkshire, Cheshire, Essex, Manx., Cockney, Brixton, etc. and then there's the many variations on Welsh and Scottish (Lowlanders, Highlanders, and Islanders).
Sadly never been to Britain, just know a thing here and there.
@ 12:00, bloody really isnt used that much at all in the UK, thats just a stereotype!
I should know, i live here and i dont think iv ever heard anyone here say bloody the way people think we do!
I ended up at a girl's place the other night and while we were getting wasted, she started speaking in a British accent. But it came out as this hilarious Brixton ghetto one.
it's shepherd's pie. and it's not eaten all that often.
the tea drinking, drunkenness and saying "bloody" are fairly accurate stereotypes though.....
what you don't know is that a lot of Londoners actually think the Queen is quite tacky, as well as a meaningless figurehead.
Also, you are more likely to hear a Polish accent than a Cockney one.
Yeah, the generic "British" accent is overstated. Being a Canaidan living overseas you start to figure out right quick people from London don't talk the same as people from Newcastle.. and I do hear bloody fairly often.
funny text though :P
I'm American and I know there's no such thing a a British accent. I'm proud of myself. :3
Though for those saying you can't tell the accent in the text... seriously, they weren't spelling that way out of drunkenness. It's a fairly close guess if you read it out loud.
no one's going to talk about the abortion of a spelling that is "axsent"? you would pronounce "axsent" no differently than you would "accent." Maybe if it were "auxsint"...
No, they're right. There is no "British" accent. Firstly, Britain consists of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, and secondly, people don't even speak the same within those countries.
Dude. I seriously woke up one morning and I still can't stop talking in a brittish accent... I'm from nebraska, this should not be fucking happening!!!
