  I had to hold off a girl who was trying to check your pulse while you were passed out. She kept screaming that she was a nursing major and needed to make sure you were alive.

    • It doesn't take a genius to check and calculate a person's pulse. In a more serious situation this person could have seriously endangered the friend by refusing help.

  • Odd, I've had nurses take my blood on two separate occasions. Once when the person who was supposed to do it couldn't find a vein and once when the guy who was doing it messed up and jammed the needle all the way through the vein.

• GOING to school for nursing and ACTUALLY BEING a nurse are two completely different things. I wouldn't let someone who was going to school for nursing prescribe me medications. They can take my pulse, but they're vitals and IV people, not doctors.
